VEHERNA GYM

veherna's gym is a rather tall piece of architecture. ebony in color with gold trim all around, this beautiful, symmetrical structure very much resembles a castle, like one might find in children's fantasies in storybooks. its black, marble walls are polished to shine, while the entire building is decorated with sharp designs etched into the marble, as if to resemble little symbols, although they really don't mean anything other than an artistic sense for the world. the gym leader himself styled his gym this way to his liking, if that already doesn't tell you something about him. the fortress is surrounded by a deep chasm, not a moat, over which a bridge crosses, following a paved stone path up to the tall double doors that are the entrance to the gym. once inside, the gym, although carefully planned out, may seem more like a mental maze than an actual maze, due to the dimly lit corridors. this is where the members of the gym train under shin'ichi, and often challenge challengers to the gym. on the walls are several paintings of dark pokemon, such as absol, mightyena, umbreon, and liepard. it is evident that the gym leader believes that darkness and beauty are similar things. after making it through the maze, you would reach the main room, which is well lit in order to witness a spectacular battle take place, even if you were to watch from the few narrow windows in the gym connecting the outside.
