▲ TELL ME A BIT ABOUT HOW YOU ACT. i... guess i'll tell you. this one time, though, i'm not repeating myself. i like dark colors. they just... i don't know, stand out more? i also like being left alone. sadly, no one ever seems to get that. i like rainy weather. and not for the obvious reason, it just... makes everything look cleaner. powerful pokemon are nice, as is training. ▲ INTERESTING! WHAT ARE SOME THINGS YOU LIKE AND DON'T LIKE? i'm... afraid of heights. a lot like blue, just not on as big a scale. also, i am slightly paranoid about what people think of me, though i'll never admit it. to anyone else, i suppose, now that i've told you. congratulations.[break][break] goals... well, i want to clear my father's and my own name by my own hands. and, secondly, i want to best gold in any way i can. we are rivals, after all. and it will shut his annoying mouth up. ▲ WHAT ARE SOME GOALS OF YOUR'S? FEARS? | It was about two years into his reign that he realized that he wouldn't live forever.[break][break] Team Rocket. To original. The most evil. The best. They had caused trouble all over the region of Kanto, taking over important businesses, constantly recruiting new members into their ranks, and commit common crimes everywhere from Viridian City to Lavendar Town. They were hated by the league and by the public, yet they were powerful enough to stand their ground against anyone who tried to stop them. No one had ever thought to confront the organization head on and take them out one by one - it seemed to far fetched to ever work. And their leader, Giovanni Steele, stood in front of it all, watching as chaos unfolded and plotting out his future evil deeds. To the public, he was a menace. To the members of Team Rocket, he was the greatest mastermind that ever lived.[break][break] And maybe he was.[break][break] But he couldn't live forever.[break][break] So, when he died, what would become of his beloved organization? Would it crumble to the ground with it's members scattering every which way? Perhaps someone would take over in his place, but then what would happen? Perhaps that person would issue changes, and Team Rocket would no longer be what it was meant to be. Surely, there had to be a replacement who the black-haired man could trust. Someone in his organization... anyone. There were a few who would follow the man to the end of the earth, but they were certainly not leader material. Those who would be decent leaders either did have enough loyalty to the man in order to made them candidates or had to different a point of view. Things were looking bleak.[break][break] And then a thought occurred to him.[break][break] What better a leader would there be then one that shared his blood?[break][break] No one knew who the mother was, as neither he nor she would ever say. However, when a boy with a head of fire was born, speculations that it was a woman by the name of Arianna who held a high ranking position in the very organization flew around like flies. Regardless of who the mother was, however, a child had been born to the same name as their leader and was destined to be the next leader of Team Rocket.[break][break] Or, at least, so the people thought.[break][break] ... [break][break]Silver admired Giovanni.[break][break] Everything about the man, the young boy looked up to. His authoritativeness tone of voice, the way he could make people do whatever he wanted by just a flick of his wrist, the way that he was not only leader of the most notorious criminal organization in the land, but also the most powerful of all gym leaders. Everything. Though the boy rarely got to see his father, from all of the stories he'd heard, he decided from a very young age that, when he grew older, he wanted to be just like him.[break][break] Socializing with other children was not allowed. From a very young age, the red-haired child was forced to stay at the Rocket base all day and all night where he was to be trained in the art of Pokemon battles and the basics of doing such things as leading an organization. He never really understood why when he was younger, but, because it was what he was told to do and he was told never to question orders, he did exactly as told.[break][break] However, part of him always had wanted to be able to go into the outside world.[break][break] Day after day, month after month, year after year Silver stayed in that hideout and not once had he been allowed to leave. He was roughly five years of age when his curiosity got the better of him and he began to vocalize his longing to see the outside world. This greatly anger the Rocket put in charge of him, however. The fragile boy was given a warning to never to speak of going outside ever again. Though slightly intimidated, his dream to leave the bleak building that was the Team Rocket base never wavered and he began devising a plan to escape, if only for a short while.[break][break] Even when he was younger, Silver must have been a little to bright for his own good. Because, when he was roughly six years of age, he managed to slip through the base unnoticed and break out. And the Kanto region was wonderful. All of the stories of the lush green world could never compare to the real thing. For the remainder of the day, the boy ran through the streets of the nearby town - the name, he would never know - without a care in the world. Well, that was, until the sun has long ago set behind the horizon and the path home escaped him mind. Lost and all alone, the ginger wandered here and there, sobbing as he went, wondering if he would ever find his way home.[break][break] Well, of course, he did.[break][break] It may have taken a few hours to notice the young master's absence, and a couple more to actually find him, but, eventually, a small team of Rockets found him cowering in an alley way in the dead of night. Upon being brought home, he was severely punished, but the boy didn't care. He'd seen the outside world, and that was all that had mattered. Of course, after the whole incident, he was watched closer then ever, but the child managed to to device many, more complicated schemes to escape.[break][break] He made a note to not get lost again.[break][break] ... [break][break]Over the next four years, Silver proved to be smart beyond his years. Maybe it was the fact that he was surrounded by mastermind criminals who taught him how to be as smart and devious as they. Maybe it was because, like his father, he was just naturally smart. Whatever the reason, it was true. Those escape plans to get away from the base when he was younger were no fluke. The sweet and innocent boy he'd been began to become more and more like the hot tempered, cold male we all know now. He still admired his father, who he grew more like with every passing day, and was excited to discover that he would, in fact, take his father's place when the time came.[break][break] However, when the silver-eyed boy reached the age of seven, there was a... complication.[break][break] A young boy, only three years older then himself had been tormenting the organization, taking down grunts, foiling their plans, and ruining his father's plans of domination. None of this really bothered him, as he knew that the black-haired man who ran the organization would always wind up on top. The man was skilled. He was strong.[break][break] Except things didn't work out the way the seven-year-old had intended.[break][break] At the Team Rocket base underneath the Celadon City Game Corner, the ground-type user met his first defeat in years. That ten-year-old, along with two of his friends had successfully defeated all of the man's Pokemon. Pure stroke of luck, the young Silver thought. Only it wasn't luck. It's couldn't have been. Because that boy beat the man again at his very own gym. With the infamous Team Rocket disbanded for what seemed like good, the red-haired boy's dreams were shattered.[break][break] Two years passed by, and still the boy grew smarter and smarter. Of course, with his increasing intelligence, he started to ponder more and more about the fall of his father's beloved organization. Perhaps the man was not as powerful as he'd thought. Perhaps the man was weak. So much chaos in the organization because their leader was weak. Days passed, and the idea that weakness was what caused the downfall of such an organization appealed to him more and more as he thought about it.[break][break] When he voiced these thoughts to his father, the man grew angry with him, telling him that, even though Team Rocket was not around then, when they returned, they would reign over the land once more. This lead to a large argument - probably the first they had ever had, guessing as the ginger saw very few of his father during his days in the Rocket base. It ended with the boy storming off, exclaiming that he would not end up like the weak man the ground-type user had become.[break][break] When he returned to that place hours later, the man had disappeared.[break][break] He hasn't seen him since.[break][break] ... [break][break]This was his justification:[break][break] Going up and asking for things was a sign of weakness. Strong people earned what they got, not expect them to show up on a silver platter. Surely, if Professor Elm knew this was what was going on through his head during the robbery, maybe he wouldn't have been so upset that his Totodile had been stolen. Of course, Silver tried to act as though he could care less about what others thought about him (since he really, deep down, does care what others think of him... but he'll never show it in public), so he didn't dwell on the Professor's opinion of him. All he cared about was the fact that he now had one of the rare starters of Johto.[break][break] Silver had devised this plan back when he, essentially, ran away from home. If he could conquer the Pokemon League, maybe he could prove that he was just as strong if not moreso then his failure of a father. Of course, he'd only just stolen that Totodile when he came across them. Gold and Crystal, two friends from the town of New Bark who had been gifted the other two starters from the Professor. The red-head, trying to test out the skill of his new Pokemon, challenged the boy to a battle, only to lose. It was at this moment that he declared the raven-haired trainer, Gold, his rival and swore to defeat him.[break][break] When Team Rocket, lead by one of it's former members, Archer, showed it's face in the Johto region, he grew furious, also swearing to tear down the organization in his path to power. Along the way, he found that the two nuisenses he'd met all the way in New Bark Town were also trying to take down the organization. Eventually, he decided to tag along with them and, together, the three sent the revived to it's knees.[break][break] ... [break][break]It had been a while since the incident in Johto - over five years already - but Silver intended to keep up his "quest for power" in the newly discovered Lyeant region. However, fate had a funny way of trying to ruin his life forever. In Lyeant, he was hit by a blast from the past - Gold, Crystal, and a second Johto female, Lyra - that made the experience so much "worse". |
