"welcoming to the stage... um, what was your name again?" Why I'm Anthony Rotini boy! You'll remember that!
"well, then, hello! now, this might seem rude, but... would you mind telling me your gender?" Are you serious? I'm a guy, buddy. You are joking right? Anyway....
"sorry about that! now, can you tell me your age? birthdate? maybe even where you were born?" You really are... nosy, I guess. But eh, I'm making friends! I'm 22. born February second. Born in the good ol' region of Johto! did you know I swam all the way here? It was quite a workout!
"i might have to get you a birthday present this year! that aside, with whom do you align yourself?" Um.... me? I'm a good guy. Yeah. I like helping people! Wait, how come I can't ask you any-
"so what's your occupation? got any special skills?" Didn't your mother tell you not to interrupt people? Anyway, I'm a Hiker. Like I was saying, how come I can't-
"now, are you a canon character? or an original character?" Now you're just shouting nonsense boy! Do I look like a canon to you? Granted I am strong like one. I don't know. Kind of?
"can you tell me the shortest description of yourself as you can?" Big guy, big beard, kinda scary. Commonly mistaken for a bear.
"you got a face claim? wanna share it with the world?" Me. Hiker Anthony, Pokemon as Hiker Anthony..
"what kind of clothing do you like best?" I wear a lot of layers of heavy wool, suits me well with the cold air on mountains. I always wear my hat, makes me feel like a right adventurer! oh, and my vest and bag are key. Help me carry all my crap.
"any defining physical traits?" You'd think I'm fat, but I ain't. I can cut down trees like it's my BUISNESS though.
"what about the hair and the eyes?" Brown/ black. Brown. 'Nuff said. But couldn't you just, look at me guy? I'm standing right here. Are you blind?
THE PERSONALITY" oooh la sha la la" "tell me a bit about how you act." Isn't this the kind of thing that you learn by being around a person for a while? Well... since I can't see a way out of this place I guess I'll just play along. I'm a nice guy. I don't like hurting people or pokemon, and I would never do that on purpose. Ever. I can get a little.... emotional sometimes, or at least people will say that. Oh, and I really like paistries. I like to share them with people. Some don't like that, I don't know why. And I can't stand it when something's just there. Then I need to do something with it. Some people call me generous, some call me pesky. I can get a bit annoying, I've been told. I Never want to see someone unhappy though. I hate it when people are in a bad mood. Just makes me wanna cheer 'em up!
"hm... interesting. what are some things you like and don't like?" I really, really like paistries. Probably the eighth wonder of the world. I like to make friends, but who doesn't? Hmmm.... Nature. There's something special about being out in some place, miles away from anyone else that I just adore. I don't like fire. Not just any fire, but... you know... fires made by other people. I don't know why, they just freak me out. Lamps, lanterns, even huge bonfires that I made, are fine. Other peoples, no. I like my ax, it helps me get to all of those hard to adventure places. Oh, and I like my hat. It doesn't really help me with anything in particular, but it makes me look the part of adventurer, doesn't it? Doesn't it?
Man, are you a recorded message? What's going on here? I smell a conspiracy...
"what are some fears and goals you've developed over the years?" You are aren't you? You're one of those robots who's going to take over the world!
Well.... I already named off my fear of fire. And I guess you could count the impending threat of robot control of the government. As far as the goals go, I'm going to explore anywhere that no one- or at least not very many people- have gone before. I will spread my paistries to all in need. And mostly, I will not leave a frown right side up. "got any quirks? and we all have some habits - what are your's?" Is throwing out paistries a habit or quirk? How about chopping down trees?
THE HISTORY" one line of lyrics here" "now onto more... personal things. mind telling me who your parents were? any siblings?" All my family is still back in Johto. Probably still baking as we speak! My mother was always a great cook, and an even better baker. My dad was a good man, but he went off to climb over the Silver Mountains a long time ago. I bet he's one of a very small few who knows what's over there! "anyone else of importance in your life?" ... I'm kind of a lone wolf, guy. Besides, I like everyone equally!
"now, tell me about your past. don't leave out any details!" Oh, buddy have I got some stories for you! This'll be a fun one!
For starters, I should tell you about how I came to this region all the way from Johto. You see, I'd basically run out of things to adventure over in the Kanto & Johto regions, and I'd grown kinda... bored. Then I heard about this lil' ol' region out here and swam right over with my things.
Yeah, swam I know! It was pretty intense. Especially when I reached that big storm... a hurricane I think they call it. But yeah, you couldn't see the top of the waves they were so tall.
And did I mention there were Gyarados? Yeah, the things were swarming me. Luckily I took wrestling in the seventh grade, and mastered it, otherwise those things would've torn me apart, I tell 'ya. I managed to fight 'em off though.
So then I landed on this beach, cut my way through some forest-y thing, and came up in some town or another.
After that I did some adventuring for a while. I'll tell 'ya, I met some real characters out here. Some cave people, a bunch'a wierdos at the food court in the mall, I think I may have even seen this guy with a koala once. I mean, what is a koala even? It's the most useless pokemon I've ever seen.
Then I spent a few months practicing Karate with Ursaring. Yeah, I'll bet you didn't know wild Ursaring knew Karate. Well did you ever take the time to talk to one?
Of course you didn't, you're a recorded message. But yeah, it's some of the best training you can get. I think one of 'em even scratched me once.
THE POKEMON" la la la sha la la oooooooooooh"
Trainers/Breeders/Et cetera's only - "got any pokemon? what are they?" Well, I've got my trusty Geodude, my ol' Machop, my Sandshrew, and...
It's slippin' my tongue.... I can't seem to remember....
Oh yeah, my Tyranitar! Boy did he take some time to tame.
"now, let's talk to the maker of this wonderful character. what's your name, sweetheart?" Cheddartot is what most call me, but you can go ahead and call me whatever you want.
"mind telling me how old you are?" 14. or 234. I always forget these things.
"mhm. now, what words would you like under your username? for the mini-profile, that is." BECAUSE I CAN!
"how long have you been doing what you're doing?" A little more than half a year, I'm not quite sure.
"can you show us how you write? something up to date, too!" A fire flickered brightly with it's wild, untaimable flames, in stark contrast to the soul-piercing darkness. For the first time in a long time, the light wasn't coming from Anthony's (suprisingly cozy) lantern, but from someone else's fire. This made the mountain man strangly uncomfortable, which was a silly, irrational fear. There was nothing scary about a camp fire. There was nothing Scary about a camp fire. There was nothing scary. About. A. Camp. Fire.
Hiker Anthony was truly terrified of camp fires.
He wasn't at all scared of raging forest fires, and would sprint through them reclessly to save the lives of others. He wasn't at all scared of Stove fires, which cooked his pork and beans quite nicely. But camp fires made him unnaturally uneasy. Probably because there was someone else. In his forest. Yet again, he was at an impass. He didn't know what to do.
He solved this problem the way he always solved these sort of problems, the same way poloticians do...
The hiker sprinted towards the fire, full speed, mommentum like a steam locomotive bellowing through the forest. Screaming the low cry of a man entering battle, he approached the fire, all fear now gone from his eyes. He was invinsible. He stopped almost instantly, close enough to the fire that it burnt off some of his arm hair,.
He dumped a bucket of water onto the fire, instantly extingushing it.
Looking at the man, Anthony new this probably wasn't the smartest decision he'd made all day. He lit his lamp.
"I'm sorry, but that... I had to put out that fire, fella. You don't understand."
Why do I climb mountains? Because they're there!
Why do I train Pokemon? Because they're there!
