"i feel that walking has become another chore" i don't think i can go on walking anymore "I'm sorry for those words, I know they're but a cliche to you" but i'm tired and my feet are feeling sore
Shizuka arrived at the tower, riding skillfully upon the back of a rapidash. In this place, surrounded by wild ocean for miles in all directions, she felt very uneasy. Naturally, since she and two members of her team did not do well with water. But that was part of the masochistic challenge she had placed upon herself: to train at the castle of the sky, famous for its powerful inhabitants of the dragon type. She had to become stronger in order to battle all the gym leaders, in order to battle the Elite Four, in order to be able to fight if another Team Imum ever attacks the region ever again, if her gijinka identity was discovered and she had to fight for her life once more. She had brought most of her strongest pokemon, level wise, with her today in order to take on the challenging puzzle presented at the castle in the sky. It was completely reckless of her to even consider attempting this challenge, but she didn't care, for she simply wanted to be putting herself through a tough ordeal out of masochistic boredom and impatient desire to become stronger. She felt weak whenever she thought about all the things in the world that she couldn't help, and that drove her to criticize herself for her helplessness and possibly even punish herself by overexerting herself in training.
Shizuka halted at the base of the tower, one hand resting on her poke ball belt which hung around Desi the Rapidash's neck, hooked onto the saddle bags. She and the horse with blazing mane both tilted their heads back to try to view the top of the tower, which poked into the clouds above and out of sight. "You're seriously going to go up there?" Desi nickered in disbelief. "I just gotta make it to the top, right?" Shizuka replied, not really answering the question in the right way. She dismounted and withdrew a smaller backpack from Desi's saddlebags which she placed the poke ball belt, containing the rest of her pokemon, into. Shizuka returned Desi into his poke ball and equipped the backpack. Then the stoic brunette turned to face the tower, and let down the magical disguise she had been holding up all this time, revealing the visual sight of her six flame-colored vulpix tails and triangle-shaped fox ears on her head. They were as real as the actual pokemon. There were no other trainers in sight, and Shizuka wanted to save all her effort for conquering the tower.
Seven hours later.
The wild Salamence, with incredible speed and godly power, slammed its wide body into Otohime, brutally crushing the gyarados through the ground and down several floors, knocking her clean out in a single attack. Shizuka's arms and legs trembled in shock as she prepared to summon her final hope: Neji. In the room several dozen floors off the ground inside the tower, the rest of her pokemon team's members lay scattered and defeated by the Salamence whose power seemed to multiply exponentially every single time it defeated her pokemon. Shizuka knew that this was an effect of one of Salamence's rare abilities, Moxie, but she had messed up, making one fatal mistake, which caused her to be unable to stop Salamence from destroying her team. Neji burst out of his poke ball with a ferocious roar, which the enemy Salamence returned just as ferociously. In merely a heartbeat, Salamence had bowled Neji over right out of the air and through the stone walls before Neji could even grunt as the wind was knocked out of him. Shizuka's mind was racing unproductively. She began to sprint toward the Salamence who had just defeated her charizard partner, partly out fury and desire for vengeance against the one who had hurt her entire team, and partly out of desperation as her fight or flight response activated, and she had chosen to fight.
Shizuka fired a Will-O-Wisp at the Salamence, but like a whirlwind, it shot out of the way in time to dodge the burn. Before she had even finished getting off her Will-O-Wisp attack, a mountain crashed into her, knocking her straight through the hole in the floor where Otohime fell and tumbling directly from the top to the bottom of a whole stair case. Deafening crashes resounded throughout the tower as the rampaging Salamence smashed its way through the tower, destroying entire floors and burying several of the unconscious pokemon in rubble. Salamence eventually crashed through the ceiling into the wreckage where Shizuka had fallen, one floor below where Otohime had landed, breaking the stair case into two halves as it landed on the center. Shizuka was very lucky that she was a gijinka, and thus much more resilient than a normal human when it came to things like falling from tall places and getting banged up by stone floors and stone staircases. But even being a gijinka, she had been soundly defeated and was now barely on the verge of consciousness. She would be blessed to fall unconscious now and be spared the brutality of a Salamence finishing off its prey, but instead, she got to see through blurry vision her bloodstained hands, the blood dripping from Salamence's claws which was the fresh blood of her pokemon comrades, and the large splatters of blood staining the broken staircase that Salamence was now perched upon, that she had fallen down. Salamence threw back its head and gave a victorious roar, and the other wild dragons nearby replied with a roar of respect.

Sora woke up, but by the fog around him he could tell that this was in fact not his hours of waking but one of his recurring dreams. The dream always seemed to follow the same pattern Sora and Shizuka had been living together for some time, they had two beautiful gijinka children, but they were still a haze, they just looked like they would be fox type gijinkas reaffirming that they were a family. Sora would end up fighting a gym challenger and that was the point where the dream usually turned upside down and started getting gory. Sora would end up losing to a challenger, so deterred he would walk towards his home and cut through a dark alley. Out of no where a shadow of his past, Echo, would come out of hiding from his Kecleon camouflage and stab Sora in the heart. Echo then would throw the defeated body of Sora into a stream near a river, and as it would come to a close Sora’s consciousness would start crying as he saw Shizuka running towards him noticing that he was dead. Sometimes when the nightmare was exceedingly bad, he would see that Aurora and Tsubomi were murdered and that Shintaro filled with anguish would fall into a fit of insanity where he would then kill Miyuki and commit suicide. What worried Sora about this occurrence of this dream didn’t include what usually happened. The only thing that was included that existed in the other form of the nightmare was Shizuka. She was just lying somewhere crumpled up, her lifeless form causing Sora to start bawling with anguish as he tried to reach her. Although it was if his hands and feet were chained and all he could do was cry. A roar awakened him, although it wasn’t that scary for most people he knew that roar; and the Pokemon who created it, who has been with Sora for most of his life had one of the most terrifying personalities. Although Sora would never admit that he was scared of this Pokemon who has been along with him for so long that it feels as if she’s his sister. It was her, the pink Pokemon of death, Kilala. “Get up or I’ll blow up your room with a Hyper Beam.” The Espeon threatened him, knowing that today they were going to go train at the Castle of the Sky. “You need to train or the league will start regretting they gave the role of a Gym Leader to such a lazy gijinka” Sora knew that he would have to set a standard for gijinkas in the League. None of his challengers knew that he was a gijinka, nor did the Four Heavenly Kings; but eventually when he was respected enough he planned to work on equal rights for gijinkas; even if it seemed as real as his dream of meeting Shizuka again. It’s been years since I’ve seen her Kilala, Do you think I’ll ever see her again?” “Not if you keep on being lazy and not training, Now get out there and train.” Sora decided to take all of his Pokemon except for Jon, his Lanturn on the journey.
Several Hours and a few flights of stairs later.
“Frost, Return” There was a roaring sound up one more flight of stairs from Sora; he was worried about what that meant since there seemed to be an entire chorus of dragons above him cheering for one central roaring figure. He knew that if he wanted to defeat this enemy that sounded like it had just defeated an enemy that the rest of the tower despised then he knew that he would have to outsmart it compared to just simply overpowering it. Luckily he had just defeated a Druddigon, which had arms which could carry an Umbreon gijinka; but unfortunately it was defeated, lying there on the floor a bit lifeless, but he could tell by the slight movement in it’s chest that it was still alive just fainted. The roaring had also worked in Sora’s favor, most of the time he would have been attacked by multiple Pokemon on that floor, but the fact that they were celebrating kept most of them away. The Druddigon probably had a rough night, arguing with his girlfriend or something and he left the round of roars, Sora thought. ”Taiga, come on out and start copying the form of this Druddigon,”he asked, with a demanding undertone, as he released his Zoroark out onto the field. While Taiga was getting rid of all of the kinks in her Druddigon illusion Sora thought of how he would take down this enemy; which so many of these strong dragons seemed to respect. When he finally had figured out his plan and he figured out his plan he went over to his partner and whispered in her ear, ’ Taiga, I’m trusting you to take me over to whatever that celebratory roaring is coming from, from what I’ve discerned it reminds me of a Salamence, but I can’t exactly be sure with the way that the roars are mixing in my ears, and when we get there we’re both going to attack him.” As he was being carried by his trusted partner he could tell that the Salamence was falling for the plan, well more like the words Salamence said proved the legitimacy of the plan as he said ‘Great job, Druddigon that makes two gijinkas that we’ve killed today, they’ll make a great meal. Come, put him over next to this six-tailed one and we’ll have a feast.’ As soon as Taiga was close enough to Salamence to make an attack she dropped Sora and as he landed on his feet he opened his eyes and realized that his fears from the mention of a six-tailed gijinka were true. It was her, the person he couldn’t get out of his head, the person he wanted the most to protect; and the person that he had bugged Kilala multiple occasions on just to mention to her that this fiery fox was the only reason that his heart beat. ’Taiga! Night Daze!” A flow of darkness came from his Zoroark, and as the Salamence advanced towards the disguised fox pokemon Sora used Sucker Punch to attempt to bring the Salamence to a point of ‘rest.’ When it succeeded he ran over to his love and tried to feel her pulse: Yes it was indeed there and the Umbreon gijinka breathed a sigh of relief. Although the reunion wasn’t as happy as it could be because he saw that she was losing blood and that he would need to rip of the sleeves of his undershirt to make some bandages for her. He felt the glaring eyes of the rest of the celebrating, well not so celebrating now, dragons that seemed to gain a bit of bloodlust against the Umbreon gijinka. ”Alright then, Taiga come back.” He said as he returned the Zoroark to her Pokeball. “Time to get some practice for one of my favorite seven Pokemon, Myst! Come out! If they advance on me while I help Shizuka out use that dragon pulse to purge them.” Sora smiled grimly as he thought of what he would do if one of the Pokemon broke through Myst’s defense and tried to stop him from helping his beloved. He then threw of his trenchcoat, his T-shirt and ripped of the sleeves of his undershirt making bandages for his injured friend. ”This time, I won’t fail to keep in contact with you; you should’ve told me you were coming to train you silly fox.” Sora then used Protect to create a barrier around himself as he was fixing up his beautiful foxy friend.

"We'll run where lights won't chase us" hide where love can't save us "I will never let you go"
Shizuka was chilled to the bone by the cold hard ground, her blood turned to ice, or what was left at least. Like the red that continued to flow freely from open wounds under her chin, her crushed knees, scrapes all down the lengths, and a serious injury on her head, Shizuka felt her strength drain away. She slumped down completely, lying on her front side and unable to muster forth the physical ability to remain alert to her surroundings. Her torn and dirtied clothes were plastered to the stone floors and trapped under large shards of rubble from the broken floors in the tower. Miraculously, her vulpix tails were spared of serious injury.
From where she had fallen, Shizuka barely saw the powered up Salamence's claws gripping the pile of shattered concrete staircase. Her vision blurred heavily, then dimmed and was gone as she quietly lost consciousness. The rest of her pokemon, Sakura the Persian, Hiyori the Luxray, Mikasa the Meowth, and Desi the Rapidash were lying unconscious in the floors above, and Otohime the Gyarados's long blue tail draped into the hole in the ceiling above the room where Shizuka was. Neji had been smashed through the tower walls and was now in a room a couple floors up and to the side.
------
Shizuka's mind fought tooth and nail for consciousness, but she had experienced too much blood loss for even her instincts to shake her awake and rejoin the battle, or at least flee for her life. She wanted to use the last of her power to rescue her pokemon from the wild vicious dragons of the Castle in the Sky, but she was not even capable of that. A warm feeling around her suddenly appeared and seemed to attempt to ease the downward spiral of her condition, like a miracle worker calming an angry sea. The tight grasp of unconsciousness loosened its hold on her mind, and immediately Shizuka's fighting spirit clawed desperately at the chance to awaken again.
The vulpix gijinka's eyes flickered open long before she had a clue of what was going on, but not bringing back her vision any time soon before the rest of her senses picked up the chaos around her. There were the sounds of fighting and new scents besides blood and wild dragons. Shizuka couldn't see anything clearly, though she blinked in confusion. Her mind's eye was blinded by the pain she just now realized was searing from the back of her head as well as the wounds on the rest of her body. She heard a voice speaking to her, but it took her a good moment to comprehend what was just said. And then with a jolt of mixed feelings and a twitch of her vulpix ears, she recognized the voice. "This time, I won't fail to keep in contact with you; you should've told me you were coming to train, you silly fox."
Shizuka's eyes widened in surprise, and she blinked and squinted them, futilely trying to brush off the blurring of her vision. Giving up her attempt to visually focus on the person next to her, she turned her gaze in a vague direction where she saw a darker shadow right beside her and tried to choke out the words she wanted to say past her throat, raw and bleeding from breathing hard during her masochistic training as well as the beating she had received from the enemy who put her in this state. "S-Sora..." One word, a name, was all she had the will-power to say, but she silently let it sink in happily that they had reunited, however coincidentally. Shizuka closed her eyes with exhaustion.
She couldn't recall what she had wanted to think about it all through her half-conscious mind, but she knew that she had been aching to see her old umbreon gijinka friend for the longest time imaginable. Five years...was it? Although short compared to the span of a person's entire life, it was far too insanely long when waiting to see a dear friend again, especially someone like Sora for whom she cared for in possibly more ways than mere friendship. In fact, although she bashfully shoved away the thought on every occasion, it was safe to say the young vulpix gijinka had heart-felt feelings for the umbreon gijinka. She could never imagine he might potentially feel the same, even after all this time.
As her mind held tightly to consciousness and her condition seemed to stabilize, Shizuka figured out that it was Sora's pokemon who were doing all the fighting and causing the main source of commotion in her ears. Roars of wild beasts and tamed ones alike echoed all throughout the tower. And Sora's hands were working tirelessly on bandaging the worst of her open injuries, bringing the drainage of life to a halt. She opened her eyes again and finally the the haze over her vision had faded enough to where she could now recognize Sora's defining features. He hadn't changed too much since she had last seen him, but maybe he looked a bit...more mature? Shizuka was bad at picking out visual details in other people, especially when they did things like wear a variety of outfits or change their hairstyles, and memorized them better by experience and personality.
She tried to give a small smile of joy at meeting him finally. She gave a few short coughs, attempting to clear her throat of blood and dust, as her body shook weakly. "Where have you been all this time? ...I haven't seen you in forever." Shizuka asked in her usual small voice, even softer now as she would require time for everything to recover back to full strength. Her eyes shone as she spoke, making a face that told how much and for how long she had missed him. The region of Lyeant was not at peace, and any one thing more stressful than facing the challenges that lay ahead of the pokemon trainers was facing those struggles alone and devoid of one's best friend, a close ally out of few good people in the world.
Shizuka desperately hoped that it would stay like this from here on out. Would Sora go away again now? For the same reasons he had been gone as before? Would they continue their lives separately? Or would they stay together as allies and friends? She wanted to ask all these questions, but the reserved girl kept her chatter to a minimum. She wasn't quite feeling up to telling a book, and she desired Sora's answers to her first question more than attacking him with a barrage of everything else she wanted to say, but wouldn't even if she could, due to her quiet, reserved and introverted nature which she was in no control of. But if they could maybe stick together from now on, Shizuka knew her confidence in herself and everything else would bloom to a new level she greatly desired in this time of disarray among the population of Lyeant.
Shizuka continued to lie limply as her rescuer tended to the rest of her injuries, sacrificing the sleeves of one of his own garments. She sensed his powers at work and finally noticed with her own eyes the barrier that shielded them from the violent struggles all around. Sora's own expression was grim, and worry flooded Shizuka's own mind again, pushing her back to the present as she realized the danger they were still in if Sora's own pokemon could not handle the enemies attacking them all at once. She clenched her fist with an instinctual jolt, desiring to rush to the defense of everything and everyone, but was quickly reminded she couldn't. She couldn't do anything right now, and she felt helpless. Anxiety clouded her own expression.

KEEP FiIGHTING 'TIL OUR WISH IS MADE
--- 'TIL THE DAY I HOLD YOUR HAND ONCE MORE --- |
[attr="class","boneshatter3"]Thinking back on his plan of having Myst take out all of the dragon Pokemon that were still around and looking dissatisfied as their leader had just been killed he realized that he would need one of his Pokemon that he feared would turn on him as soon as the battle was over. Indeed it was Kirara and the fact that she hadn’t been called on first to help fight would certainly make her release a Signal Beam towards Sora as soon as everything was clear and they had rescued his princess from this castle. He hoped that when he finally finished the fight no Amoonguss would show up and prove him wrong and that this infact was the wrong castle. As soon as all of Shizuka’s wounds were tended to at a level where he could leave her be for one second he started to reach for Kirara’s Pokeball but then he heard the sweetest voice he knew, one that would usually heal all his worries had it not been for the situation she was in. “Where have you been all this time? ...I haven’t seen you in forever” Upon hearing this and being completely overwhelmed with emotion he couldn’t hold back any longer and grasped her as tight as he could without causing any of the bandages to stop working, ”I’ve been, I’ve been looking for you this entire time, where have you been. Why didn’t you give me a way to contact you, I was so happy when I was awarded the position of a Gym Leader but even though my family celebrated it something, someone,” looking straight into her eyes, “Was missing.” Realizing that the situation was still dire and that he should probably have more than just Myst helping out with the room of dragons and pulled out the Pokeball holding Kirara and just told her to ”Do her thing.” As a Dazzling Gleam of light showed the room Sora noticed that it had made Shizuka even more beautiful, although at this point Sora wasn’t even sure if that was possible. Grabbing a Water Bottle from his bag he put it up to Shizuka’s mouth so that she wouldn’t have to stress her body too much and possibly hurt herself anymore. ”It isn’t really that cold but I hope you can still enjoy it” Sora said with a smile but then quickly realized that he should look around but when he saw the room was devoid of moving dragons and that Kirara had an extremely dominant pose about herself he knew that he really shouldn’t mess with that Espeon he considered his sister. Just then there was a loud crumbling of a wall and an Altaria used Sky Attack on Myst knocking her through the air. Letting the Protect Barrier down to a sense of peace Sora jumped up to be carried along with Myst and returned her to her Pokeball thinking to himself Good Job, Myst you did really well. Then landing on the floor and skidding to a stop across the room from where Myst had been launched from Sora expectantly looked at Kirara who showed that she knew what he wanted to do. Running up and towards the Altaria he used Iron Tail to launch it right back through the hole that it had created in it’s frankly rude attack. Sora looked triumphantly at the launched Altaria thinking to himself that at least this major battle was over until he heard a loud roar, that inspired fright, right behind him. Then a huge zapping noise of a beam that just missed him, the radiating heat slightly singed his tail. As Sora turned around looking for whatever Pokemon that might’ve just been around him, possibly a Tyrantrum by the sound of it’s roar all he saw was a pile of ash that lay where the Pokemon should’ve been. Looking at the triumphant Kirara who held her tail much too high, almost too prideful even though she had just saved her brother’s life he knew what had happened.
Walking back towards Shizuka he was overjoyed that he could see her again so even though he would’ve rather it not his tail was wagging back and forth much too vigorously to hide the fact. ”So is there anything else that I can do for you my friend?” Stopping to gather his thoughts for a second he said with every ounce of seriousness he had left, tears gathering in his eyes that he might have never known that she passed away “Promise me please that you’ll never go anywhere alone while I’m still alive. It would mean the world to me if you would allow me to tag along on your journeys when I’m not too busy with the Gym, taking down Team Inum happened much too long ago, I fear that this peace I’m experiencing won’t last long. And,” tears falling down the Umbreon gijinka’s face, “If the thing that broke my peace was the death of you, Shizuka, ... then I don’t know what I would do.” PHARAOH LEAP. "We'll run where lights won't chase us," hide where love can't save us. "I will never let you go."
Shizuka finally had a firm enough grasp on her ability to think and see clearly without passing out from pain or exhaustion. Although the physical part of her was in no shape still to do anything, and her entire team of pokemon as well were in grave danger as time ticked by and they weren't returned to their pokeballs so their state of health could stabilize, Shizuka was racked hard by the desire to be helpful to Sora and his pokemon right now as they fight against the entirety of all the dragons in the Castle of the Sky, summoned here earlier by the Salamence who was a highly respected member in their ranks. She already knew long before she tried that she wouldn't be able to move, and it made her feel all the more helpless. Technically they were still in danger until somehow Sora's pokemon could hold the enemies off or manage to defeat them all. She felt a little bit of guilt that she had gotten Sora into a situation where his pokemon would be battling at extreme odds, completely outnumbered by wild pokemon who trained every day against each other to become all the more dangerous. There was no use in worrying about how this threat could be avoided, and Shizuka didn't like bothering with the what-if's of destiny either. She would always be grateful for having met up with Sora again, even if it was a tad selfish on her part.
Shizuka quickly figured out that, amidst all the confusion of the battle, the source of the chaos was from all the wild pokemon who were now completely disorganized, and Sora or his pokemon must have taken down the Salamence a while ago. She was relieved like a boulder had been lifted off her shoulders that the threat of the Salamence with its attack power multiplied over four times had passed, at least. She guessed that if the wild pokemon's leader were still around to unite them, they would be an even more dangerous force. Now their aggression was merely that of a wild animal being territorial. By now, Sora had finished tending to all her injuries, stopping all blood loss finally. The results of her condition stabilizing were already evident with how she was no longer in a downward spiraling state, and now her body could fight to heal itself and bring Shizuka back to life without as much of a struggle as before. At the sound of her voice, Sora suddenly shocked Shizuka with a tight embrace. Shizuka's vulpix ears twitched in surprise as she tensed up shyly, though she was still limp with complete weariness and her almost close brush with death. She felt her face growing warm with a mixture of embarrassment and joy. ”I’ve been, I’ve been looking for you this entire time, where have you been. Why didn’t you give me a way to contact you, I was so happy when I was awarded the position of a Gym Leader but even though my family celebrated it something, someone...was missing.” Sora leaned back just enough so he could look straight into her eyes, and Shizuka found it very difficult to return the eye contact as she gazed back in silence, at a loss for words and rigid all over with social anxiety.
That was definitely something major that Shizuka just learned about Sora's life until now. Sora, a gym leader!? Searching desperately for appropriate words to use and give a poper reply to the umbreon gijinka, she wondered if she should say congratulations now or later or.... Well first she also had to make sense of what he said before and after the gym leader part without keeling over herself in bashfulness. She had no idea Sora had been searching for her all this time. Cringing sheepishly at the quality of her response to Sora's mini speech, she suggested, "M-maybe we should get cellphones or something...To keep in touch and all, no matter what happens, even if we get separated." After the words were out, Shizuka had to glance away, anxiously realizing that she made it sound like she had already decided they would stay together from now on. But Sora was now preoccupied anyway with returning to the situation on the battle field as its commander. On her own again, Shizuka tiredly slid down on the ground again before she pretty much fell over through lack of coordination or an ounce of physical strength. Carefully lying on her side so she didn't pull on the bandages or open up her injuries again, she tried to observe the battle around them. Sora expertly and wisely commanded his Espeon, Kirara, to unleash a powerful, super effective multi hitting fairy type attack, Dazzling Gleam, which lit up the room like as if everything was suddenly made of well cut diamond and crystals.
Kirara obviously was an intelligent pokemon and had a strong bond with her trainer as he only needed to tell her to "Do your thing." for her to understand she had to use Dazzling Gleam and not any other powerful psychic attack that Espeons were known for. Sora returned to Shizuka's side and offered her a water bottle. ”It isn’t really that cold, but I hope you can still enjoy it.” He was saying with a smile that was cut off when he seemed to realize that the battle had finished before either of them had even realized it. Shizuka couldn't complain about anything; she realized that she hadn't actually hydrated since several floors down when she had just begun her hardcore training in the tower earlier this day. On top of that, all of her bleeding all over the place had lowered her h2o level even more, and she felt parched when she became aware of her other needs besides survival, which was accented by her adrenaline which had now calmed down mostly. Shizuka accepted the water as well as the aid in drinking it as Sora held it for her. She actually didn't mind at all that the water wasn't cold. Personally drinking frozen cold water wasn't her favorite thing to do anyway.
It seemed for now that Kirara had cleaned up the place quite thoroughly with the one attack of hers. That notion was proven false as an Altaria suddenly attacked the Milotic of Sora's named Myst and began to knock her across the floor through the air. Sora reacted quickly and returned Myst to her pokeball with incredible speed before the Milotic received any damage. A wordless exchange of communication passed through trainer and Espeon, and Shizuka could only wait with apprehension to see what next they would do. She couldn't deny that Sora's abilities as a pokemon trainer were elite. Exemplifying how gijinkas could fight a pokemon battle themselves just like any other pokemon, she witnessed Sora attack the Altaria head on. What Shizuka saw next prompted her to call urgently to Sora with the strength and a voice she didn't have of either. A tyranitar had entered the room from elsewhere, almost looking rather out of place, and was coming up behind Sora. But his trusty partner Kirara was onto the situation. Even though it was not very effective, the Espeon's Hyper Beam attack was filled with so much sheer power that it still managed to turn the Tyranitar into a pile of ash and the tip of Sora's umbreon tail into a wisp of smoke, glowing with heat... Shizuka was quite impressed, though the fact that Kirara's attack nearly did the same to Sora as it did to the Tyranitar pricked the edge of her mind with slight worry. It was obvious Sora and Kirara were close, but Shizuka supposed their relationship was at that level where it allowed for...risks.
Shizuka gave a small smile as Sora walked back to her. She was even more relieved at the fact that the battle was finally, finally over, and all had escaped with their lives, at least for now. ”So is there anything else that I can do for you my friend?” Sora asked as his umbreon tail wagged happily.
Shizuka let out one small "Heh." of amusement as she shook her head. All she could have ever asked for was simply to see him again. Then her expression flickered with concern again when she noticed his eyes were beginning to shine with tears.
“Promise me, please, that you’ll never go anywhere alone while I’m still alive. It would mean the world to me if you would allow me to tag along on your journeys when I’m not too busy with the Gym. Taking down Team Imum happened much too long ago; I fear that this peace I’m experiencing won’t last long. And...if the thing that broke my peace was the death of you, Shizuka ... then I don’t know what I would do.” Shizuka was greatly touched by his words, words she would never have expected to hear, yet was full with happiness at them. She nodded joyfully, smiling and overwhelmed with emotion.
"Of course~!" She chimed. "I would like that a lot too." Shizuka humbly agreed, though her words and her soft, introverted tone far understated how much she really would love for them to travel together. It also filled her with anguish to hear him even consider a thought that would bring him so much pain, and she had to try and give him her own encouragement as best she could, assuring him, "Don't worry, I'll be more careful...from now on. I won't let you have to think about what you would do, because...it won't happen." Shizuka stumbled over her sentences awkwardly, over or underemphasizing them in all the wrong places. But the meaning of her words was still true and genuine. For now, Shizuka looked around for her backpack which had fallen off a while ago. It had her pokeballs, and she needed to return all her pokemon to their pokeballs so they could rest, and soon. But although she was hesitant to ask Sora for any more help than he had already given her, Shizuka was again reminded that she was still unfit for even climbing upstairs to retrieve all her injured pokemon partners.
