She was reluctant to leave, but after staying in that place for nearly a week, and no sign of Sora, she had to accept that he just wasn't coming, for whatever reason she had no idea. She was sure it couldn't have been Sora's intentional fault, and did not blame him. But it worried her to no end, the unlimited possibilities of what might have really happened to Sora. She wanted to search the entire world for her friend, but of course, that would be reckless. Shizuka even had to be talked into giving up waiting for Sora by her black charizard, Neji.
At least at a time like this, though the end of this peace was in sight due to the clashing of the region's recent political parties, Shizuka had no immediate important things to do, and could take the luxury of time to search for Sora. She had no idea where he was. She only knew that, for the most part, he should still be in Lyeant. The only option she could think of in order to find a lead anywhere would be to ask the gym leaders first. Any maybe challenge them while she was at it. She still hadn't given up on her dream of challenging the gym leaders, and saw no big problem in taking this chance to try now.
So here she was, standing before the gym's doors in Inferia town, staring at an absence post on the gym's door. The gym leader was not in town. Just her luck. And now what should she do? Beside her, her black charizard, Neji, only sighed, releasing a cloud of smoke. "Not this time..." He growled indecipherable pokemon, though to a gijinka like Shizuka, the language was as clear as text on a book. She placed a hand on her charizard's shoulder, and began to slowly move to pack up and prepare to travel to the next town with a gym leader...

The very top of the mountain. The peak of the very Earth in all of it's essence. A place above clouds, a place where one could reach out and literally touch the sky, separated from everything, everyone. This was Anthony's goal, his only waking thought, at this point in time. This friendly little town seemed like the ideal place for him to grab a bite to eat while he was taking a rest from hiking.
At this altitude it was already quite cold, and Anthony could see his breath in the air. He didn't feel cold, though, partly because of the almost ridiculous amount of layers he put on every morning. Also partly due to the heat of his own excitement, burning in the very heart of his soul. He would soon be with the heavens themselves, feeling his heart pump blood through the highest heart this corner of the world. His drill would be the one to pierce the heavens! He would return to a feeling he had once known fondly, a feeling he had recently only felt in his dreams.
He would not, much to his slight dismay, be going on this trip immediately. No, something much more important than his current goal was thrown in front of him. Something he couldn't leave be. Something he knew was more important than any of his own petty hopes and needs.
A random stranger looked mildly irritated. For this, he could not stand. No one, on hiker Anthony's watch, would be any less than totally happy, and totally full. This, as with many other conundrums, was a job for paistries.
Hiker Anthony whipped his bag around his shoulder, and searched deep in it's confines. Ah-ha! He had found it. One of his last treasures. His mothers own home-baked cinnamon bun. Somehow, it was still warm from his mothers oven. He swore that woman was magical.
He approached the stranger from behind. "Hello. I can't help but notice that you're mildly irritated. Would you like a cinnamon bun?" He had been practicing his etiquette. The last thing he needed was for more people to freak out and run away from him.
He held the cinnamon bun out, and it's aroma was strong.
Why do I climb mountains? Because they're there!
Why do I train Pokemon? Because they're there!

{Dacă eu nu pot găsi inima mea în tine, atunci ar trebui să plece s-ar putea la fel de bine și pleacă}Grimsley scaled the cliff tops and looked around... "So that is why he did not mention it at the convention... How tragic." Grimsley looked over his shoulder and saw his Krookodile moving rocks around in the rubble to find any traces of human civilization. She turned to her Trainer and shook her head in sadness. "Nothing, absolutely nothing..."Grimsley was dying from the heat... And he could get a major heat stroke at any second... A large salty drop of sweat fell into his left eye. "ARRGH!!" he screamed as it burned into his eye socket. He grabbed his left side of his face in agony and slipped off the edge he was standing on. Suddenly, Krookodile grabbed the wrist of her trainer and dragged him back onto the cliff. "Thank-you..." Grimsley said as he gasped for air, "I wonder if someone has some water... my throat is killing me..." "We should go back, you might die out here!" Krookodile looked at Grimsley. Grimsley sat back up, "I can go on still, it's fine... but thank-you for your concern..." Grimsley smiled and looked down a cliff where he could see two people talking to each other. A man that looked like an Ursaring and a girl. "I wonder if the mountain man has some wat-" Suddenly Grimsley fell down that cliff and rolled down unconscious... His heat exhaustion finally hit him... "NO!" Krookodile yelled, in it's language at the sight of her half-dead master and he slid down the cliff to get the other peoples' attention to help her trainer. || NOTES;; WOW Grimsley dying on his first appearance? YIKES! Anthony, Shizuka I hope you guys know CPR. XD||

Shizuka, as jumpy as always, was startled when she heard a man's voice suddenly begin speaking toward her from behind, and almost jumped a few feet in the air before whirling around to face the new stranger. Now seeing the person clearly, it appeared as if he were the perfect example of a "hiker". Dressed in hiker clothes, with the hat, bags, and everything, Shizuka hesitantly came to the conclusion that this was one of those "hiker" people often found in mountains and caves. She had even battled a few before. Did this hiker want to battle too?
"Hello. I can't help but notice that you're mildly irritated." Shizuka just stared curiously. Well, she couldn't disagree that she probably didn't look like the happiest trainer here at the closed doors of the city's gym. "Would you like a cinnamon bun?" What kind of overly generous person goes around giving gloomy people cinnamon buns? She couldn't help but wonder. Well, doing that would have you running out fast. she also thought, but then the real matter came to mind. Am I really supposed to just accept a cinnamon bun from a random hiker stranger person? She was reluctant to immediately go thinking that this man was a creeper. For all she knew, he could just be a very nice person who concerned himself with other people's problems - a nice person like everyone should be - like few are.
"Uhh..." Shizuka hesitated, truly stumped by this dilemma. To accept the cinnamon bun or not to accept the cinnamon bun. That was the issue. Her shy, selfless self just wanted to humbly reject the offer like a humble, starving masochist. But her carefree, more positive side just wanted to think, What a nice person! Why not?". She knew she shouldn't hesitate too long. The cinnamon bun's aroma was strong, even more so to Shizuka's vulpine gijinka senses. If she waited too long, her stomach might decide it was hungry after all, and make an audible complaint. Uguu~. Too late. Shizuka's face flushed in embarrassment that she wasn't able to keep her stomach's say in the matter under control.
The levels of awkwardness were skyrocketing now, and Shizuka had to make a decision soon. Little did she know that her social skills weren't the only ones at the bottom of the "good social skills" list. Umm..." She began to force a reply to come from her mouth, but then she was distracted by the sound of someone screaming. Shamelessly using that as an excuse to avoid choosing whether or not to accept the cinnamon bun, Shizuka turned her attention to the new subject at the moment, her fighter instincts kicking in. She had fought team Imum as well. Her reflexes were trained to fight evil and to protect good. She saw at the top of a cliff, another man she didn't know. But just as she began to make decisions to even ask if he was okay, the dark haired person collapsed at the edge of the cliff.
Shizuka gasped in alarm, but her black charizard, Neji, was already thinking several steps ahead of his trainer, and didn't need to even be told to go save the stranger. The black charizard charged forward with astonishing speed, then, reaching out with his long, muscular arms, caught the krookodile's trainer. Shizuka caught up soon after. From the looks of it, it, Shizuka had the feeling that simple unconsciousness wasn't all that was happening here. She began to think fast about what to do. The thing was, she didn't know what to do.
Shizuka frantically glanced over at the hiker almost pleadingly. He at least looked like he knew something about survival. "I don't know what's wrong with him. I don't think he's okay, but... I don't know what to do!" she whimpered, beginning to rummage through her bag for almost anything that might give a clue as to what had happened here. Her charizard, Neji gently placed the man down on the ground, though was ready to fly at Shizuka's command.

[WARNING: THIS POST IS RIDICULOUS AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY NOT READ IT.]
Suddenly, Anthony knew nothing. Cinnamon bun cooling in his hand, within a few seconds a freaking black Charizard had flown out of nowhere to catch a fainted man falling off of a cliff. Not to mention the initial shock of a man falling off of a cliff.
Also suddenly, Anthony was called upon to make a very important decision. A decision that could mean the difference between life and death for some random stranger.
This was much more serious than paistries.
Of course, he couldn't just ignore the paistrie problem either. He bolted over to the man with a speed obviously unnatural for a man of his stature. He tossed the cinnamon bun firmly, but gently at the lady whom he just met, mumbling something about how she should eat it quick and calling her "Little lady" in the process. With all this excitement and not knowing anything Hiker Anthony had forgotten that ediquitte he'd been working on. Which only makes sense. Why would he forget everything but his ediquette?
Anthony then set his focus to a man he'd even more just met, and started to get a hold of the situation in front of him. He checked the pulse first. He was still alive, and his pulse was steady and strong. Strong like a Russian turnip. Strong like the Ursaring Anthony himself had so much experience training with (In karate of course). He wasn't bleeding, except a little from his head, mouth, and eyes. (Okay, maybe not the eyes part, but Anthony would like for you to pretend he was in order to pump up the drama.)
This was quite a medical mystery Anthony had here. This man was in no coma, oh no, this was far, far worse. He had a disease, and an unknown one at that. A disease that Doctor Professor Hiker Anthony Esquire would have to find a cure for himself, and all before this man died of blood loss. It would be serious, doctoring, professoring, lawyering business.
Hiker Anthony got out his most medical bag, and starting doing some intense tests. After hours (seconds) of vigorous studying (there was no studying) Hiker Anthony deduced that the man had a new disease, and came up with his own, brilliant remedy. (Seriously the guy was just in a coma.)
What was this ingenious remedy, you ask? It was the only obvious one, Hiker Anthony would reply, if he didn't live in a universe completely disconnected from yours. The only cure is.....
DA DEFIBRULATOR.
Hiker Anthony motioned to the lady to step back, gave the guy a good shock, and he was awake again.

Krookodile saw a black Charizard spring into action and caught her master. She sighed with relief that she caught the people's attention...
Grimsley was completely unconscious the whole time... All he saw was darkness, the heat exhaustion he had really got him this time...
But under the darkness he felt like he was flying... then caught, and on the ground...
"Hm? I smell food..." Grimsley thought...
A few minutes later... "Ughh, I'm not opening my eyes, at this right I could be dead..."
Suddenly he heard a buzzing noise and then a shock to his chest!
Grimsley sheriked at the top of his lungs and his eyes shot open and he sat up... his eyes, bloodshot.
Grimsley took a few gasps of air and looked at his rescuers, he stood up on both feet, dusted himself off and adjusted his scarf.
"Ahem, thank-you for saving me tehre you two," he said gratefully, "I apologize for my sudden entrance, I umm, have issues with sunlight."
He then sighed and walked into some shade near by the two other trainers.
Krookodile slid down the cliff like a snowboarder and stood by her Trainer's side, she looked at him with annoyed eyes, "I knew you since you were a child, by seriously, you never changed that pride of yours didn't you... Your pride has made you so stubborn, stop gambling your life already..."
Grimsley look at Krookodile and smiled as if he didn't understand what she was saying.

Shizuka didn't need to look far for the mountain man, for he had, to her great astonishment, gotten over to where she was with incredible speed for his size. That raised her confidence a bit that he seemed to know what to do about the situation, and she found that she could relieve her lungs from holding her breath. Her black Charizard, Neji, stood back to let the mountain man do whatever he was going to do, though they both watched curiously, still worried for the dark-haired unconscious man's safety. Shizuka had the reflexes to catch the cinnamon bun that was tossed at her, and now found that she had no choice but to accept it. But she still didn't really feel like eating it, especially not while someone else's life was in danger. Until she could breathe easier, she had little appetite for pastries. Ironically, now of all times, the mountain man was making a good effort to show courtesy to Shizuka. Shizuka was more worried that somebody was about to die today.
The terrible feeling of being totally and utterly useless in a life or death situation for someone else was worse than the scorching heat of the sun in a desert. Shizuka couldn't fidget either, because she was still carefully, extremely carefully, holding the cinnamon bun with her two index fingers, not wanting to get her hands any stickier from the sugar. If the time did come that she would actually have the chance to eat it, she would rather use a fork than her own fingers. Having no experience whatsoever in the medical field, Shizuka, to her own distress added upon what stress she already was enduring, had no idea what the mountain man was doing, nor what was happening or going to happen to the dark-haired man that had fallen from the cliff. Neji seemed to just stare calmly, as if he was used to this, and nothing could make the black charizard loose his cool.
Although they had both experienced a good share of terrible events that included deaths in horrible numbers, Shizuka still couldn't stand the feeling of being unable to do anything about it. All she had were her pokemon, and with her pokemon, the ability to fight back evil teams like Imum. Shizuka now just hoped that the mountain man knew exactly what he was doing, and that what he was doing was the right thing to do. When the hiker motioned for Shizuka to step back, she and Neji did so immediately without question, although Shizuka jumped and almost gasped when the hiker quickly gave the dark-haired unconscious man a shock with his device. Is he really going to be okay!? She wondered, truly worrying for the outcome of the dark-haired man's fate now.
But then the unconscious man shrieked loudly, startling Shizuka even more. She really really hoped the man wasn't dying now. But the unpredictable man sat up, startling the ever jumpy Shizuka once more, his blood shot eyes wide open. As the man took a few gasps of air and began looking around at the two, three, if you included Neji, Shizuka had to find her breath, and her steady heartbeat. Shizuka looked at the man as he stood up, wondering if he was really feeling well enough to stand, though as the man dusted himself off and adjusted his scarf, it seemed as if he was just fine, as if he had never fallen unconscious in the first place. "...A-are you Okay!?" Shizuka began to ask, then she reworded her question. "Uh, I mean... are you feeling alright?" The question was of genuine concern for the other person's health.
Although she could hear and understand exactly what the Krookodile was saying to its trainer, she made no visible signs of it. At least that was one thing she had gotten good at. She had plenty of time to practice it with her own pokemon all the time. When the dark-haired man apologized, Shizuka simply smiled politely in return. "I-it's fine, I'm just glad you're alright now." Awkward silences always seemed to follow after Shizuka spoke up. She was still holding the cinnamon bun with such delicacy as if she were holding a rare, valuable piece of artwork that was still drying. Though she really just didn't want to get her fingers any stickier than they already were. That's right, she didn't even know these people's names, and with no one speaking up first, Shizuka decided to make the rare movement to introduce herself first. "Umm, my name is Shizuka, and this here is my Charizard, Neji. He caught you to keep you from falling." She spoke up, introducing her team and giving full credit to Neji.

Hiker Anthony was desperately alone in this situation. Given the people who chance had given him the acquaintance of, he was by far the most monolingual of the group. Being only able to speak English, he couldn't communicate with many people, and pokemon were a long step away from people. Frankly, he and his pokemon have never been able to communicate well at all. Communication problems were common, though Anthony was sure he knew exactly what his pokemon were thinking. Needless to say he was almost always wrong. Also needless to say, Hiker Anthony was totally unaware of his comparative disability.
To him, all that was apparent was that his super amazing doctoring was a total success. He rose, and stretched his back to relieve the tension from his intense going-ons. Yet another successful mission to make sure someone was happy/ living. Of course, saving lives was part of his daily routine. (That is to say, it wasn't at all, but if you asked him that's what he'd say.)
Once he was done with his highly-aerobic stretches he turned back to the people he had done his going-ons with.
The crazy fally-down-hill guy was now standing up with surprisingly good posture, as if he did this kind of thing daily. Hiker Anthony liked this guy, he admired his grit.
Walking back towards the group, Anthony heard the before-mentioned little lady's little introduction. "WEEEEEEEEEeeeeel, hey there, Shizuka. I'm Anthony, I'm a hiker." As he returned to the group, he gave crazy fally-down-hill guy a hearty, manly, practically rediculusly violent, but still friendly, pat on the back. "And what's your name, guy? I like you. I like your grit!"
The hairs of the strong hiker's beard flowed in the wind, and he smelled of explosions and adventure. Today was going to be a day in the textbooks.
...
Never mind, not the textbooks. Textbooks are boring. More like a movie, or a comic book or something. Yeah...
