THE OOC
"We forgot where we were and we lost track of time,
And we sang to the wind as we danced through the night,
And we sang..."
"now, let's talk to the maker of this wonderful character. what's your name, sweetheart?"
The name's Night! ^_^
"mind telling me how old you are?"
18~
"mhm. now, what words would you like under your username? for the mini-profile, that is."
...I'll get to this later >_>
"how long have you been doing what you're doing?"
About 7 years. :3
"can you show us how you write? something up to date, too!"

Genkei Takehiro
THE BASICS
"Like a gift from the heavens, it was easy to tell,
It was love from above, that could save me from hell,
She had fire in her soul it was easy to see,
How the devil himself could be pulled out of me,"
"welcoming to the stage... um, what was your name again?"
The name's Genkei Takehiro. No, I don't have a middle name, so don't bug me about it. I go by Gen.
"well, then, hello! now, this might seem rude, but... would you mind telling me your gender?"
I'm male, obviously. I've never really thought that I looked feminine.
"sorry about that! now, can you tell me your age? birthdate? maybe even where you were born?"
I guess I'm about thirty years old. I don't like to think about it too much. I was born on the 17th of February, in Aria City.
"i might have to get you a birthday present this year! that aside, with whom do you align yourself?"
I guess I'm Lawful, Neutral.
"so what's your occupation? got any special skills?"
I happen to be the gym leader of Aria City.
"now, are you a canon character? or an original character?"
Original.
THE APPEARANCE
"There were drums in the air as she started to dance,
Every soul in the room keeping time with their hands,
And we sang..."
"can you tell me the shortest description of yourself as you can?"
Short appearance? I guess I'm a tall red-haired male with spiky hair and golden-brown eyes.
"you got a face claim? wanna share it with the world?"
RENJI ABARAI, BLEACH as GENKEI TAKEHIRO.
"what kind of clothing do you like best?"
My clothing style has been described as somewhat bland by others, but I enjoy it. I usually wear long-sleeved shirts and darker-colored jeans, although it gets pretty hot out in here in the middle of the desert, so you may catch me in short-sleeves from time to time. My shirts are usually darker colors too, and my favorite color happens to be the color red. No, it's not because of my hair. I'm usually wearing some sort of bandanna, colors and designs vary. Honestly, clothes and fashion really isn't something I care about. I'd rather use my money on something else. (like booze, right Gen? ;3)
"any defining physical traits?"
My physical stature is thin, but still muscular. It's obvious I don't just sit around on the couch all day. I'm pretty tall, and have long legs. I also happen to have tattoos. They're not hard to notice, and they're wrapped around my shoulders and torso, and down my body. No, I'm not going to show them to you. *blushes*
"what about the hair and the eyes?"
My hair is bright red, and it's pretty long. Most people question me on why my hair is so long, because guys "usually don't have long hair." I happen to like my long hair. It's usually pulled back into some sort of ponytail, and can get pretty crazy and out of control if I honestly don't give a crap. Some people call it spiky, but whatever. My eyes are a brown color. Can't tell? Whatever. They're still brown.
THE PERSONALITY
"Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And the voices rang like the angels sing,
We're singing...
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,"
"tell me a bit about how you act."
Hm, good and bad traits... I guess you could say I'm self-confident, cocky, fun, and outgoing. I really like to be around my friends and have fun with them, and I've been told that I'm a great friend.
However, I've been told that I'm harsh, cold-hearted and rather emotionless, and I have a bad temper. I also have a tendency to be unintentionally mean, but it's not my fault that others take things wrong or too seriously.
"hm... interesting. what are some things you like and don't like?"
I like flying-type Pokemon, training (both my Pokemon and myself), battling trainers in my gym, music, and occasionally punching things.
I dislike (more like hate) annoying little kids (mostly under the age of about 7), losing my temper, getting nagged at, when my hair is messy and out of control, and water.
"what are some fears and goals you've developed over the years?"
I won't tell my fears to you. It's none of your business to know my weaknesses. (Gen fears getting his gym taken away from him, forgetting to deploy his parachute when skydiving [Yes, he skydives xD], nightmares and drowning.)
"got any quirks? and we all have some habits - what are your's?"
I sometimes happen to talk to myself, mostly when I'm really angry or just lost in my thoughts. Sometimes I get a sudden urge to climb somewhere high up off the ground, so a trainer may have to climb on top of a house or something if they want to challenge my gym.
THE HISTORY
"And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,"
"now onto more... personal things. mind telling me who your parents were? any siblings?"
My father's name if Jin, and my mother's name is Riiko. They weren't around much until I was in my teens. My grandparents raised me until my parents came into their picture. Yes, they're still alive. My grandfather's name is Gaku, and my grandmother's name is Yuki. My mother had me at a young age, so my grandparents aren't as old as you would think.
"anyone else of importance in your life?"
No one that I can think of. *coughs awkwardly* (Isn't it about time you got a girlfriend, Gen? *shot*)
"now, tell me about your past. don't leave out any details!"Starting from when I was a baby, I was raised and cared for by my grandparents. When I was only a month old my parents decided to move to the Sinnoh region. They were heartbroken when they found out they couldn't take me too. My dad decided it would be best to leave me with my grandparents, his parents. My grandma told me that my mom had to practically be drug away to the airport. Because they were gone, they never got to see my first steps, hear me speak my first words, or anything else that babies did that parents looked forward to. My grandparents constantly sent them pictures, but it only made my parents regret ever leaving in the first place. However, they couldn't come back. My dad had found a steady-paying job in Sinnoh, the only reason they left in the first place, and they couldn't afford to move back. They could only watch from the sidelines as I grew up.
I know for a fact that I've been fascinated by bird-type Pokemon for as long as I can remember. My grandmother told me it started when I was really little. She said I would often stare out the windows and watch the bird Pokemon up in the sky, and always told her that I wanted to fly like they did. I grew up well, and I learned proper manners from my grandparents. According to my grandmother, I was the type of child that every parent wished they had. I was apparently polite, respectful, and listened to what I was told, unlike most kids. Of course, I was usually only like that around others. By myself or with my friends, I was a totally different person. I remember that when I learned to write, I started to send letters to my parents, even if I had never met them before. They would always write back. Even though I had never met them, my grandparents would always tell me about them, and made it clear to me that they still loved my very much. I loved them very much either way. The fact that I had never actually seen them never phased me. A grey and brown Pokemon egg arrived for me in the mail a week after my 10th birthday, a late birthday present from my mom and dad. They didn't tell me what kind of Pokemon it was, but told me that if I took real good care of it, it would hatch into something wonderful. I made sure to take really good care of it, just like my parents had instructed, and one day it eventually hatched into one of my favorite Pokemon: a Starly. I nicknamed the female bird Pokemon Sora, after the sky that it would one day soar around in. Me and Sora soon grew inseparable. She was my best friend, and I was hers. I began to train her, and she soon grew strong. By the time I turned 16 I had already started to train other bird Pokemon. But then one thing I did not expect happened one random day: my parents finally came home. Without any sort of notice, I came home one day to find them there on the couch. I knew right away that they were my parents. I had seen pictures of them before, but those were older and not up-to-date. They looked like me, and just by the way they acted I could tell that they were my parents. At first I was a little nervous around them, not really sure how to act around them. They, however, immediately practically smothered me with all of their love, making up for the 16 years of my life that they had been absent from. They were really excited to know that I had become such a good Pokemon trainer, and they supported me every step of the way while I trained my Pokemon. Once I was able to, I applied to become Aria Village's gym leader. The previous gym leader had grown rather old, and decided to retire to live the good life. I had learned a lot from him growing up, and he had inspired me to become the next gym leader. After a week's wait, I had received notice that I had been accepted as the new Gym Leader. Afterwards, my parents and grandparents decided to celebrate by throwing a huge party. I was really happy, even if I didn't seem like it.
I've been the gym leader now for about 6 years. I was there through all of the Team Imum happenings, and helped others get rid of them once and for all. However, we've all noticed the new groups forming around us; the Bessers and Minders. The thought of joining one of those groups really doesn't appeal to me. I'm still looking forward to the day when a truly strong trainer will make it to my gym and beat me.

The first rays of sun shined brightly through the warriors den. Hawkstrike, who had been sleeping peacefully, was apparently the sun's victim this morning. The rays shone right onto his face through the reed den, waking him almost immediately. The large tabby groaned and flipped over onto his other side to try and go back to sleep, but the river's sound didn't lull him back to sleep like it normally did. With an unhappy growl the tom stood up in his nest and stretched, his back arching and his claws digging into the ground. He had to stifle a gasp of pain as his sore muscles moved for the first time since he had went to sleep. He had had a rather long hunting session the day before, and refused to come back to camp until he had finally caught something. Hawkstrike had never been very good at hunting, but as a warrior he had to overcome his lack in abilities and keep hunting at least until the weather began to warm up. With prey scarce and parts of the river frozen, the past Leaf Bare had been a hard one for Riverclan. Of course, like always, the clan remained strong and pulled through. Either way the clan was finally able to get their fair share of food, so the clan needed all the fresh-kill they needed. As if on cue, the tom's stomach growled with hunger, and his icy eyes flashed with annoyance. He had forgotten to eat the night before.
With one last sigh he exited the den, squinting his eyes in the orange-red rays of the sunrise. Hawkstrike quickly made his way across the clearing and to the fresh-kill pile, choosing a small fish. He quickly finished off the small thing and licked his lips, looking around warily. It seemed that no one else was up yet, not even the leader or deputy. Using this chance as his opportunity, the large tabby tom made his way towards the camp entrance in a rather sneaky way, trying to stay out of sight of any cat who decided to awaken. Hawkstrike had concluded that as long as the deputy wasn't awake, he could go off and spend his morning training rather than doing his regular camp duties. Riverclan had plenty of other warriors to do the job in his place, anyways. "If I have to go on another hunting patrol I may as well go drown myself in the river..." The tom growled to himself, glancing around once more with his ice-blue eyes before trotting the final stretch to the entrance. Hopefully no one would notice him.
