Even though he had moved his gym, he still would come all the way here just to train like he always did. He trained here with his dark pokemon even before Team Imum first made its move. Now he just sat upon a hill overlooking the gloomy lake, musing to himself, while his pokemon trained on their own. Despite it being daytime, mid-day, actually, the lake looked as if it were evening - it was so dark and gloomy. Rumors about demons coming out of this place to play were true. Shin'ichi's dark pokemon came out here to battle those "demons", also known as ghost pokemon. Being dark pokemon, this was a great training place. The larger distance between here and Veherna than Irisia and here wouldn't stop Shin'ichi from coming here to train. His pokemon, himself included, were not fond of swimming either, so once Irisia practically became an underwater city, Shin'ichi no longer felt at home there. The change was for good everywhere. Very recently, Irisia had gotten a proper water type gym leader as it had originally been meant for, and Veherna's ground type gym leader had left, and now Veherna had a proper dark type gym leader. The strange thing was that Veherna's old ground type gym leader hadn't really left. During the battle with Team Imum one day, the gym leader and all her ground pokemon had disappeared. To where, no one could figure out. He over saw Blacky, his umbreon, using Mean Look to keep Lepardas, his liepard, from running off to avoid Guraena, his mightyena, using taunt. In seconds, the proud leopard pokemon was aiming her attacks at the mightyena. During all this time, with the chaos of Team Imum, and now Besser and Minder, challengers were few. They were all too busy fighting Team Imum. After the battle against Team Imum, Shin'ichi didn't want to partake in the actions of either party. He strongly disapproved of both of them. The biggest reason he had fought against Imum was because Imum had targeted his old residence and city, Irisia. Now he only was ready to side with whoever was against both parties. Grouping up and forming organizations like this had always only brought harm to Lyeant.

Kessie entered the dark, foggy, and gloomy lake area. She'd come here often in hopes of possibly gaining a personal epiphany, though it never happened, not even the slightest realization. Perhaps it would come with time, or maybe it would not come at all, though she had to keep an optimistic out look on life even in the grimmest situations. Though the problem with Kessie is that she always seemed to expect solutions or big clear as day signs to happen pointing her in the right directions like in movies and such. Though sadly she would have to come to face the bitter reality that this is real life, and most surely not a movie of sorts.
As she approached the waters edge Kessie caught a glimpse of a shadowy figure on the lakes other side, he appeared to have Pokemon. Though this mystery trainer befuddled Kessie, it surely didn't stop her from parading herself over there to give him a smack down of interview questions. But suddenly she froze as a chill ran up her spine when she had noticed the figures face, perhaps that was not the best wording though. You see this figure was not one to strike fear into the heart of Kessie, though much rather excitement and a bit of nerves. The man in Kessie's presence was none other than the Shin'ichi, the former Gym Leader in Irisia, and Kessie's proceeder.
Feeling quite suddenly flushed to be in the presence of a quite a high up Gym Leader. Ever since Irisia shifted to a more watery town the Gym Leader left to return to his original town stating that the town deserved the original Water Type Gym Leader it was intended for. When the time had come to choose out the Gym Leader, the quite obvious choice was Kessie due to her being the head water type specialist running her Dojo and all. Then five years passed and Kessie ended up where she is today. Though she had spoken and personally met Shin at Gym Leader get togethers and such, she felt as if this was the first time they would truly meet and get in an in depth conversation.
"Why hello there dear! How are you on this mighty dandy day we have here? Well aside from that gloomy fog, though that shouldn't put a damper on your mood! I'm Kessie if you don't remember my name."

More visitors to Demon Lake was far from expected, what with all the rumors of demons, and the visually unattractive aesthetics of the lake. Only the most serious of trainers, those who, obviously, did not fear the "demons", and had a good purpose for coming here. To Shin'ichi, this place was like his backyard, as it had been when he was the gym leader of Irisia. It still felt like that to him now. He would always feel just at home here, as if it really were his backyard, though farther away from Veherna. Tama, Shin'ichi's absol, was the first to notice the approaching person, and stopped to look at Shin'ichi, pointing with his horn in the direction of the newcomer. Tama always noticed everything, from the strange cut in a man's beard, to a wrinkle in Shin'ichi's cloak, to what he was born to notice - disaster. Second was Guraena and Lepardas, his umbreon and liepard, to notice, following Tama's attention to the newcomer. They could smell and hear the the trainer before she had really appeared. Third, though far from slowest, was Blacky to notice, who sensed the trainer's presence immediately with her mysterious dark psychic powers. Jumping to conclusions right away, Blacky began to try to immobilize the orange-haired trainer with her Mean Look attack, but Shin'ichi was quick to correct and stop the umbreon with a small flash of his hand in the naughty umbreon's direction. Of all his pokemon, Blacky had always been the most work, finding each and every reason to get in trouble. But Shin'ichi had learned to accept it as Blacky's naughty nature. Sometimes Blacky was a cat and would start "playing" with trainers' mouse pokemon like cyndaquil, pikachu, marill, and sandshrew. Sometimes she was a dog, and would chase after other trainers barking excitedly. And sometimes Blacky really was a fox that would play more tricks than even Shin'ichi could keep track of. Irisia city used to be Blacky's playground, but now Veherna city made a much better playground for the dark eevee evolution pokemon. The unexpected things kept coming, though what really could he expect in a trainer that had boldly dared to come out to the Demon Lake? In moments, the other trainer had paraded herself over here, and Shin'ichi began to understand... a few things. This was Kessie, the new Irisia city water-type gym leader. None other, in fact. Why, of course he knew her name, and her face. He made it a priority to know most things, and the next Irisia City Gym Leader fell deep under that category. He had been there to see her pass her gym leader test, actually. Whether or not she remembered him, he remembered. "Well, if it isn't Kessie Garlan, the water-type specialist of Irisia city, and Irisia's gym leader!" He proclaimed, identifying her completely. He had never really spoken to this gym leader as much before, and even talk at gatherings of the gym leaders was few, despite their connection. This woman was quite optimistic, he noted, as if it was her duty to bring the sun even to a gloomy lake such as this. With a soft chuckle, he stood up to his full height of five foot ten inches, letting his cloak swirl as if underwater, simple for flare. Shin'ichi went into a sweeping bow, his cloak fluttering about him, and his pokemon had, by now, appeared at his side, seeing that training was going to be put on hold. Shin'ichi was well known for his dramatic hand gestures and actions that seemed to come straight out of a movie. That, paired with his flowing cloak, it really did seem as if it had come straight out of a movie. Shin'ichi was a part-time actor, and with this fact, it might have made a little more sense, as he opened his arms out wide for his own introduction, his cloak flaring out like golbat wings. "I am none other than Shin'ichi Kurosaki, the Prince of Darkness and Beauty, and Veherna's dark type Gym Leader, at your service." Not literally at her service, as it was just a fancy way of saying "Nice to meet you" for Shin'ichi. "And what brings Irisia's water type Gym leader all the way out to this haven for demons?" He asked, continuing the conversation naturally.
