A few steps, and out of the dark, creepy forest. Kuezek sat down to catch his breath. His side had somewhat healed. It still ached but other than that it was fine. The blood had dried up. He glanced up to the sky. The sun was shining and there were few clouds. The only clouds he could see were big a fluffy. Auron was looking at the sky as well. It felt like it was going to rain, but there were very little clouds in the sky. He looked away from the sky. He got up and they continued to walk down the path. They entered the village. People were just living there normal lives. Some people took a glance at Kuezek and Seth. Kuezek had tripped on a rock for the fourth time on their journey there. Kuezek got back up he had a nose bleed. What were they going to do there. What were they going to do in the village. They saw a big body of water to their right. Auron's eyes seemed to be looking directly at it as well, his eyes glistening, like he had never seen water before. What if he hadn't?
Auron ran straight towards it. He tripped just like Kuezek had. On a stupid little rock. He got right back up and headed off toward the water again. "Wait! Don't go in. You probably can't swim! Wait, that sounded kinda dumb. I need to think about what I say before I actually say it. Fudge. I didn't mean to say that out loud. Fudge. What do I say. Ah who cares. Just don't flipping go in the water." he said, feeling really, and I mean really, stupid at what he had said. He felt embarrassed just thinking about it. Luckily for Kuezek, he could run faster than Auron. He ran after him and picked him up. Auron was making puppy eyes and Kuezek let him finally go in. Solar and Sora got in too. Blaze just sat there starring at the water. "Hey, what's wrong? You okay?" he asked Blaze, who in response, shook his head. "Is it because I won't let you go in the water?"he asked again. This time Blaze shook his head yes. Kuezek picked him up. "It's for safety. You know that you could die if you go in the water." he told Blaze as he hugged him. Blaze nodded and sat down. He looked over at Auron. It seemed Solar was trying to teach him how to swim.
It was getting sort of dark, so they decided to stay at the Pokemon center there. As they were heading to it, they saw a big mountain towering up into the sky, blocking the view of some of the sky. How did they miss that? They got some food at the Pokemon center. They stayed there that night. Kuezek laid on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. He heard little pats on the ground outside. He looked out the window. It was raining. He was surprised. He had hard times trying to get to sleep that night. He had a uneasy feeling. The next morning, he woke up. He went outside to get some fresh air. Once he stepped out the doors, he got hit with a cold breeze and rain. He shivered and went back inside to get Seth and the others. They couldn't stay in the town for very long. What was there to do? He woke everyone up and they all went outside. They walked down the road.
(this isn't the only post of the thread. That would be stupid.)

[atrb=valign, top] | [atrb=valign, top] i thought a desire worth any pleasure can never really be a sin in vain Let's count the reasons why she hated the early morning hours.
To begin with, it was early. Perhaps some people didn't have a problem with prancing about in times before clocks struck nine o'clock or later, but for someone so naturally accustomed to rising around noon every day, a “morning person” was not something you could label her as. What she was, however, was a night owl, leading to point numero dos. She'd stayed up until three in the morning the previous night. What at all was pleasing about waking up three hours later? Nothing, dear friends. Nothing at all. And, third, it was still so dark. And it wasn't even the comforting darkness of twilight where you knew it was only going to get darker as the minutes ticked by. Oh, no, instead, all you had to look forward to was the sun shooting ultra violent rays – muffled, of course, by the ozone layer, but that wasn't the point – in your eyes and practically blinding you. The shades weren't just for effect, good looking as they were. The woman had some pretty sensitive eyes.
Of course, it didn't matter how much she moaned and groaned about how waking up at six in the morning was not a good way to start the day. True as that was, it still didn't change the fact that complaining wasn't going to solve anything and she'd still have to be up in the early morning hours even if she focused all of her will power on hating being awake and wanting to fall back asleep. Unfortunately, someone was smart enough to put two and two together about her identity and, before she knew it, police were chasing her out of her cozy little bed – well, more like a tree branch in the town park – and she was on the run at five. The raven-haired criminal had managed to shake them off her tail long ago, obviously, but her full alertness was necessary to prevent that from happening again. Besides, the hour flight had her up and at 'em. No sleeping for her. Maybe if she'd ran instead of using her wings, hidden strategically beneath her dragon cape to escape she'd be more tired and she'd have a better excuse to collapse at the nearest dumpster.
Dumpsters made for better beds than you'd think.
Roxanne had just entered Chisai Village and she couldn't hate the world any more than she did at that very moment. Well, perhaps that was a lie; she always hated the world at about that level, except for those times when she stepped on a rusty nail and had to get it checked out or when she had to part ways with Mery again. Meryik might have annoyed her to no end and she might have been mean to him far more than she was nice, but on some level, she truly did enjoy the other gijinka's company. It would have been nice right about then to have him there. Arceus knew what he'd be blabbering on about, but it'd still be better than the cold, the wind, and the loathing she had to muse about in silence. In short, she was miserable and lonely and goodness, she hadn't found a good catch in some time. Guessing as there was an entire castle swarming with the things, you'd have sworn there'd be more trainers with dragon-type Pokemon ripe for the picking. Of course, nope, the universe just had to go and wipe it's poop in her face, laugh about it, and leave her empty handed. It'd been a month since she'd gotten her hands on a new Pokemon to beat into shape and call her own and even then, the last one had been scrawny and died before she could really turn it into something nice.
However, the gijinka's attention was torn from hating the world and everything it threw at her to having an internal party. She'd have thought she'd be the only person roaming through the village at such an early time; sure, some people might have been awake, but very few if any at all would dare to wander outside. And yet, as the Pokemon Center came into view up ahead, she caught sight of two young men exiting. A heightened range of sight due to her Pokemon DNA allowed her to examine them thoroughly long before they noticed they weren't alone; in other words, she had plenty of time to hatch a plan of action before they noticed a stranger approaching them. From the looks of it, both were trainers. It was a little difficult to determine how far they were along in their progression as trainers – not quite novices, she assumed, but she doubted either would pose a threat to her unstoppable army of dragons that she'd molded for years, now – which was a bit of a set back, but nothing she'd let get in the way of a plan slowly hatching in her mind. Not only was there one, but two trainers up ahead, completely oblivious to her gray-skinned terror. That was twice the likelihood that one of them possessed a dragon ripe for the picking. And, oh, was she going to pick.
Of course, approaching them dead on probably wasn't the best idea. Gray skin, orange horns, and red eyes don't usually make for an ideal appearance for greeting people. She was more likely to scare them away than draw them in by running up and smothering them with “kindness”. Of course, they were coming closer at a startling pace so she only had that short amount of time to get into position before her plan was foiled. Well, we can always go with the pity act, Roxie decided, albeit begrudgingly. It's the least fun, but it gets the job done. Looking around for only a heart beat or two, she fell into a limp position on the muddy ground – ignoring her instincts telling her to get up and clean up – and pretended to be on the border of unconsciousness. She could easily play it off that she had nearly been struck by lightning in the night's passing storm, gain their trust, and nab their Pokemon while their guards were down. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. The sound of voices reached her ear - “This isn't really the best traveling weather, is it? Anyway, let's not push ourselves in all this rain; we don't want to get sick... Better yet, we could stay at the warm Pokémon Center we just left.” - accompanied by the sound of footsteps and, oh boy! Here they were! They had to have seen her, sprawled out pathetically on the ground in the rain by then. If only for added effect, she let out a low little whine of faked agony. None would be the wiser, after all – not when they were dealing with as skilled an actress as her. |

Seth walked behind Kuezek keeping pace with him easily his hood up and his hood up and his hand in his pockets trying to stay a little wormer in the rain. "This isn't really the best trailing weather is it? Any way lets not push are selves in all this rain we don't won't to get sick...better yet we could stay at the warm Pokémon center we just left." He said to Kuezek muttering the last part to him self so Kuezek couldn't hear it. All the same the day before Seth had taken some time to do some shopping for a few essentials like food, water, some medicine just in case, and a small container of Rawst berries for Spice sense they were her favorite.
Furret looked unhappy for once walking a little distance from the group under the cover of the trees doing his best to stay out of the worst of the rain. Pumpkin's thick coat of fur how ever seemed to help her with the rain walking in pace with Seth her hair dripping wet but she did not shiver and didn't look bothered or cold in the slightest. Spice seemed to be finally warming up a bit to the new members of the group not seeming really scared of them any more but she still kept her distance for the most part. At the moment how ever she looked extremely happy running around in the rain and jumping around in the puddles just having a lot of fun in the rain.

Kuezek looked out into the distance. He thought that he had seen someone with a scarlet cape in the distance. It could have been his imagination. But the closer that he got to where he saw the person, he could see them better. He hadn't imagined it. He took a closer look at them. They were female with black hair, a cape, red, pointy shades, and a black shirt with a teal libra sign on it. A little bit later, she fell. "Holy crud! Did you see that? She just fell! Come on. We gotta help her." he told Seth. He ran toward the girl. The ground was muddy. Ew he thought as he got to her. "Hey, are you okay? You feel." he asked her, but then looked at her face. He thought it was beautiful. He decided to act cool.
"Hey there. The name's Kuezek. What's your name girl? After you get cleaned up, since you fell in the mud, you wanna maybe, uh, go on a date or something along that line?" he said in a voice which he thought sounded cool, but actually made him sound really dumb. He ended up falling, trying to make himself look cool, but made him look like a complete moron. Smooth move Kuezek. Smooth move. He hit the ground and rubbed his shoulder which seemed to hurt the most. He had mud all over himself. He could have sworn that he saw Blaze giggling. He brushed himself and held out his hand to help her up he let it hang there for a while waiting for her to grab his hand. "I ask again, what is your name?" he asked.

Seth had ran to see if the person was ok after there fall with all of his little friends quickly following him. After they arrived and he saw that the women was alright he stuck to the sides letting Kuezek talk for a bit. After watching for a bit seeing Kuezek be...Kuezek he started to think to him self a bit then started to walk on the path again. "I'm going to go ahead a bit and set up tent for the night so see you in a bit." He said as he walked off down the path.
Spice had kept her distance from the new woman hiding behind Seth but as they went down the path again she started to lighten up again running around in the rain. Furret stayed around for a bit wondering what was all happening but started to run after Seth before he was out of sight. Pumpkin had kept pace with Seth walking right beside him as he walked looking around she walked not really looking at any thing with any special interest.

[atrb=valign, top] | [atrb=valign, top] one hundred and one shots of opportunity i'd gladly take them all again and again And all faith in humanity was lost by the actions of one imbecile. Sadly, there would be many imbeciles just like him that she would have to run into and there were many imbeciles like him that she already had. The good news, however, was the stupid ones were always the most easy ones to fool and, if they weren't toppled by sheer wits alone, they usually weren't very good at training Pokemon, either. Should he catch on to her plans before she was already long gone, it shouldn't have taken much effort to pummel him into the ground. Few stood a chance against her, much less someone as foolish and idiotic as the person he was turning out to be. In other words, she'd made a good catch by deciding to play the pity act on this trainer and, before the day was over, she'd have any dragon type Pokemon he had in his possession in her own care. That grumpy gills who was complaining about the rain might have had some Pokemon ripe for the picking, as well; he seemed smarter than his partner, but it shouldn't have been a problem. When it came to being smart, she was simply the best there was. And being tough. And being pretty. And being an evil mastermind. What was that you said about a god complex? Egocentric, you say? Why, whatever would make you think that? She only envisioned herself as the perfect human and Pokemon hybrid to ever exist on any sort of dimensional plane ever.
Yes, even despite her slight miscalculation she still just couldn't see any faults in her own self. As it turned out, the gray-skinned fellow had spotted her before her fall. Hm. However, even then, the two must have been concerned a bit – at least one, anyway – guessing as the one in the red came running, his friend hot on his trail to see what was up. Idiots. Maybe she'd just take all their Pokemon, slit their throats while they slept, and saved the world some trouble. At least then they'd be gone and not have to drag anyone down with them. “Hey, are you okay?” came a voice, male sounding obviously, but a bit too pitchy to be anyone past puberty yet. Ha! This would be a breeze. “You fell.” “No crud, moron” she wanted to say so terribly bad, but she bit her tongue and held it in; offensive chat would only ruin her chances at a good theft and there was no way in heck she'd let a little infuriating idiocy get in the way of an opportunity this amazing. So, instead, using her palms to push herself up into a sitting position – expertly faking the shake in her limbs and face for maximum pity overload from the second party – she remains absolutely silent about that and prepared to answer. However, she hadn't even the chance for that before he went on making an utter fool out of himself.
“Hey, there. The name's Kuezek. What's your name, girl?” the dark-haired male said in the worst impression of a “cool guy” Roxie had ever heard. It made her want to strange Poocheyana. Badly. “After you get cleaned up, since you feel in the mud, you wanna maybe, uh, go on a dare or something along those lines?” Internal laughter and puppy strangling made for a good combination. Was this kid for real? He had to be, like, ten stinking years old or something! Pathetic. Throat slitting was sounding more appealing by the second. Of course, nothing about her facade would ever let any of that information slip. She was an actress, after all, and only those she so chose - … and Mery, but that was a different story entirely – were able to tell what she was thinking. “O-oh,” she started, speaking in a higher and more feminine tone of voice than she usually did, “That's... That's very sweet of you, really, but -” And then came the icing on the stinking cake. He fell. Fell. Literal fall. This dude was going to die of his own stupidity if she didn't put him out of his misery first. However, she still managed to contain the hyena cackle building up inside of her mind, only letting out of faked, girlish giggle. The obviously more sensible brown-haired stranger watched on with blank eyes, offering only - “I'm going to go ahead a bit and set up tent for the night. So... See you in a bit.” - before heading down a nearby path and disappearing from sight.
Party pooper.
“I ask again, what's you name?” the idiot – Kuezek, he'd said? … Nah, she liked “the idiot” better. More fitting – was saying, shoving an extended hand in her direction. Not skipping a bit in her own little play, the raven-haired gijinka “happily” took it with another little giggle. “Lydia Theron,” she answered, choosing one of her many false aliases at random. Not that he'd ever question it, though. Not at the rate he was going already. “Thank you for the concern...” |

The girl had replied to his, uh... flirting ,I guess, with "That's... That's very sweet of you, really, but-" When he had fell, she giggled. He didn't think it was funny. Why would she? He fell. He was muddy. He ruined his bright red sweater more than it already was, so now it was burnt, muddy, ripped, and stained. He decided to stop with the voice. He finally relized it was stupid. He regretted talking in the voice the moment he started talking in it. Kuezek felt stupid. Well at least she didn't think he was stupid. Well at least that's what he thought. She had said here name was Lydia Theron. The name sounded a little familiar. He looked at her cape. Why would she wear a cape? Well, it was a cool cape. Seth had ran up the path and left him alone with "Lydia".
"Hey, your voice doesn't sound very good. Are you alright? It sounds more, uh... higher pitched then most girls. Also its kinda squeaky." he pointed out, without the "cool guy" voice. "Like are you sick? Or are you trying to hide your normal voice? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, it's just, hm..." After she answered, he brought her with him to the campsite. "Come on. It'll be really fun! We'll get to do a lot of awesome stuff, We can learn more about each other, and meet each other's Pokemon! What do you say, Lydia?" he asked in a nice voice, hoping that she'd come with.
"Also, your cape is really awesome. Especially the awesome hood. That was a really dumb thing to say, but who cares. He didn't really care. He couldn't feel any more dumb than he already did. Man he stunk at talking to girls.

After walking a little farther down the path Seth found a nice spot under some trees that gave cover from the rain. After setting under the tree for a bit for a little rest and giving Spice, furret, and pumpkin a berry each. Furret and pumpkin got a oran berry and Spice got her favorite a Rawst berry. When they all got there berries Seth started to set up his "tent" under the tree to protect from some of the rain. After he was done setting it up Furret went right in happy to get out of the rain finally.
After he was done with the tent Seth sat down again under the tree. Spice kept out on the path playing around in the puddles and rain. Pumpkin sat down besides Seth starting to dry off a bit now. Seth petted Pumpkin a bit as she sat next to him. "If Kuezek doesn't show up soon I should probably go back and check on him." he thought to him self looking out onto the path keeping a eye on spice as she played in the rain. But soon Spice got tired and joined Seth and pumpkin under the tree covered in mud and dripping wet. "Looks like we are going to clean you up after this rain passes over doesn't it. O well at lest you had fun right." Seth said rubbing Spice on the head when he was done she laid down next to Seth under the tree and closed her eyes tired out.
