[attr="class","c"] [attr="class","b"]I'LL BE DEAD BEFORE THE DAY IS DONE [attr="class","h"] [attr="class","a"]They say that in the north eastern corner of the Desert of Dismay, the sands have been disappearing and leaving greenery and life in their wake. Those who dared the trip through the desert in order to see this spectacle with their own eyes, however, are far and few and thought insane or liars upon returning home to tell the tale. Deserts do not simply disappear, after all, and it would take quite the group in order to make the area fertile enough to give birth to flora that needs more water than a desert can provide. However, if one were to venture out into this area, they would find that, yes, the desert line was receding, and at a frightening pace. However, the cause of this phenomena would be shrouded in mystery for the most part unless that traveler were lucky to see the cause itself in action. That cause being what looked to be somewhat of a ghost, normally short pink hair spilling out over the sands and dress displaying the galaxy in all its glory. With every twist of the wrist, every place of a boot, every note produced from her mouth, the sands would fade to dirt, and from that dirt would raise grass, flowers, bushes, and trees. This was certainly no natural occurrence. Of course, Marley never really considered herself much of a natural person at all. She wasn't exactly sure when she started destroying the desert in hopes of making it a more beautiful, safe place. The first time she has watched the sand disappear at her will had been decades ago, and that alone had worn her out due to the fact that she wasn't used to using up so much energy in one go. She'd set it down for a few years, before picking it up again, going bit by bit over a long span of time in order to train herself up and not exhaust her powers so swiftly. When Team Imum came around, she hid out of fear of getting caught in the fray and put it aside for a few more years. She'd only just started to pick it up when news of Arceus' disappearance came to them and brought it to yet another abrupt halt. However, after a few months of sitting idly, she found that the job became somewhat of a relaxing practice and once again picked it up. She'd only been doing this daily for a week or so, but over the span of time before her first try and now, she'd managed to find all of the ins and outs of how to do things correctly, efficiently, and as energy saving as possible. She'd discovered a slightly different form – still majorly human-like as to not alert too many people – that took up less effort to uphold after a few tries, the flowing vessel as pretty as it was useful. Her powers alone wouldn't exactly allow for her to do everything she was, she instead using the move Transform to turn into Pocket Monsters who did have the ability to do various tasks necessary to replace the desert one spot at a time. She was foolish enough to have completely transformed into her brother and sisters to begin with, but discovered how to transform only her hand, foot, or other body part in order to still utilize the abilities of that Pokemon, but not use up as much effort. The gloves helped to cover up the strange coloring or deformation with every partial transformation. All in all, the pinkette was not as powerful as some of the other legendaries or average Pokemon could have been with each specific power. Celebii could grow much large, healthier vines in half the time, for example. Kyogre could provide more water to feed those plants even faster than that. Arceus, while it pained her to think of him at all, could easily evaporate the entire desert and replace it with a sprawling forest or lake if he so chose – and if he was actually there. However, everyone else was busy hunting the deity Pocket Monster down while she came to terms with the fact that she would never be able to find him, much less rescue him and put her time to something she thought was a bit more useful than a wild goose chase. Perhaps if all of the legendaries worked together, the sand and heat would disappear and rain would fall as plentifully as it did anywhere else within a matter of weeks. Of course, this was not the case. It wasn't as though they would drop everything to listen to the goddess' call. So Marley spun and danced, rain drops from the clouds she had summoned over head cascading upon her, yet leaving her as dry as if she'd been standing outside on a sunny day. And from her feet and hands grew lush greenery as she willed, the Mew transforming quickly back and forth into whatever she needed. She was so caught up in her “restoration”, in fact, that she was foolish enough to let her guard down. Being one of the few telepathic legendaries, she was capable of reading the minds of humans as well as Pocket Monsters everywhere. However, unlike some of the other's, her abilities were not quite honed; instead, things were often a little hard to make out and she could never really choose when she read others minds. Instead, she heard the thoughts of everyone around her as a subtle little roar that could only be heard if there were one other person in the vicinity or she focused on one person alone. It was because of the whisper of words spoken but without a definite voice being projected into her mind that she realized that she was not alone and it was likely too late to hide herself. Instead, she fell into defensive maneuvers, picking up her weapon of choice – a bow that Celebi had made her that she used to fire arrows made of psychic energy – and readying it for fire. “W-who...
